Frisco Head Coach Nancy Lieberman To Appear In NBA All-Star Celebrity Game

FRISCO, February 10, 2010 - NBA D-League Frisco head coach, Nancy Lieberman, will take the court once more as a player on Friday. This time, she has five-time NBA All-Star Alonzo Mourning as her coach. Lieberman and Mourning highlight the 2010 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game and will be joined by Hall-of-Famer Magic Johnson, Dallas Mavericks owner, Mark Cuban, and actor Chris Tucker.

"I have played in the NBA All-Star Celebrity game before, and it is a wonderful experience," Lieberman commented. "I look forward to being on the same court as these celebrities who love hoops."

The game is part of the NBA All-Star Weekend in Dallas. Also participating in the game are four members of the Harlem Globetrotters, musicians Common and Pitbull, NBA All-Star Chris Mullin and seven-time NBA Champion Robert Horry.

"This is an honor for Nancy as well as our Frisco franchise," NBA D-League Frisco owner Donnie Nelson said. "Nancy's going to whoop them all! Those musicians and actors don't know what they're in for."

Filling out the roster are: Doctor Oz, host of the "Dr. Oz Show," Anthony Anderson of "Law & Order", Joel Moore, of recent Avatar fame, and PGA Tour Pro, Anthony Kim.

Tip-off is Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at the Dallas Convention Center.
