
Frisbie Selected to Lead West Division All-Stars

Loves Park, ILLINOIS - James Frisbie, Rockford Aviators Skipper, has been selected to manage the Western Conference All-Star team in Schaumburg, Illinois. Frisbie has had great success with the Aviators this season, leading them to a first place record of 29-16 while also helping Teo Martinez, Tanner Witt, and Michael Schaub earn promotions to affiliated ball.
He took over at the helm of the team 23 games into the 2013 season and has an engineered a turnaround in his 2+ seasons that now has Rockford at the top of the league. Frisbie recorded his 100th win in a Rockford uniform on July 7th vs the Gateway Grizzles, skippering the squad to a thrilling 3-2 win. CF Michael Hur, 1B Devon Rodriguez, RHP Kyle Brueggemann, RHP Tony Rizzotti, and RHP Kyle Hassna will play for their manager in Schaumburg on the West Division team.
The game will be held July 15 at Schaumburg Baseball Stadium. The week's all-star festivities will kick off Monday. Frisbie is expected to select his assistant coaches as well as Normal CornBelters manager Brooks Carey and Boomers skipper Jamie Bennett to fill out his bench. He will also select the final 3 players for his 24-man roster in the coming days.
