Florence Y'alls
Florence, Kentucky: A good crowd of 1,437 came out to Champion Window Field on a damp, soggy night. Florence was returning from a nine game road trip, and a little home cooking seemed to do the trick.
Freedom power hitters Trevor Hall and Kyle Geswein finally got going in a big way last night. Geswein went 2-3, powering a homerun over the left centerfield wall, and putting another homerun into the Freedom bullpen. With his pair of homers, he drove in three on the night. Trevor Hall went 2-4 with double and a homerun, while driving in a run. Clint Chauncey went 2-4 with a run scored in the eighth. The Freedom got a solid outing from BJ Church (1-1), Church went seven and a third, only giving up one run on four hits, striking out seven. John Martinez (1-4) picked up the loss for Windy City.
Florence and will host Windy City tonight for game two of the series, Mitch Goins (1-1) is set to go for the Freedom. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 at Champion Window Field.
