Florence, Kentucky: The Freedom started out with a bang on Tuesday, trading Mike Galloway, Curt Moenter, and Drew Jackson. They got an immediate return from outfielders Matt Cooksey and Beau Blacken. It was a pitcher's duel until the sixth, when the Freedom offense broke out of it's shell. After a Wally Quigg double, Matt Cooksey hit one into the alley, put his head down, and never stopped running until reaching third base for a standup triple. In the seventh, Kyle Geswein began the scoring by coming home on a wild pitch. Josh Sanchez then reached on a fielders choice, driving in Clint Chauncey. Reggie Watson added insurance by singling in Wally Quigg. Freedom roll, 5-1.

Mitch Goins earned himself player of the game, he went seven and two/thirds, only allowing four hits in shutout baseball. He struck out five. Mike DeMark came in to shut it down. Reggie Watson continued his hitting streak, it now stands at 15. It is the longest, active streak in the Frontier League. He went 3-5 with a double and RBI on the night.
