
Grizzlies drop two more to Paints

The Gateway Grizzlies (29-46) ran their season-long losing streak to 10 games Wednesday night, dropping both games of a double-header the Chillicothe Paints (48-27) in Chillicothe, OH. The Paints took game one 14-1, before winning a 4-0 decision in the night cap.
The Paints scored a pair of runs in the second inning in the opener. They scored five in the fourth and another six in the fifth to cruise to the win.
Greg Isaacson was 2-3 with the lone RBI for the Grizzlies in game one.
Jordon Rassmussen (0-1) took the loss for the Grizzlies in game one. He tossed 3 2/3 innigs allowing seven runs on eight hits.
The Paints scored two runs in the bottom of the first in game two.
Chilion Stapleton (0-3) took the loss in game two. Stapleton gave up four runs, two earned, on six hits in five inings. Newly acquired reliever Ryan Rafferty tossed the final inning retiring the side in order, striking out two former teammates.
Issacson was 2-3 in game two. Greg Stevens was 1-2 and threw out all three would-be base stealers against him.
The Grizzlies and the Paints will meet in the final game of the five-game series Thursday night. Steve Soja (5-6) will start for the Grizzlies.
