
Freedom beat Wild Things, take series

Washington, Pennsylvania: Florence was looking to end the road trip on a high note, and take the series, they did just that, defeating the Wild Things 10-5 in front of 3,206 fans in Washington, Pennsylvania.
The Freedom sent the struggling Jason Brunke to the hill, but he pitched great, going five innings, giving up three hits, no runs, while striking out three. Zack Schmidt started at third base and he made manager Jamie Keefe happy by going 2-5 from the lead-off role. Wally Quigg had a great night, going 2-4 with three RBI, and his third homerun of the season. Trevor Hall went 2-4 while starting at first base, he has risen his batting average to .323. Darin Kinsolving went 1-4 in the clean-up role, and Matt Singer started in place of Mike Galloway, going 2-3 with an RBI. Kyle Geswein followed a great game with another one, he went 2-5, both hits being homers, his homerun total is now up to 14, one back of Mike Galloway's league leading 15. Geswein also added four RBI on the night. Curt Moenter came in relief last night pitching 3 great innings giving up just one run, after Mark Marksbury struggled, Mike Causey came in to finish the game in the ninth.
The Freedom are now 30 game winners, and are just one win shy of matching last years total, and two away from setting a franchise record. The Freedom come home to face the Ohio Valley Redcoats, here is promotional information:

Wednesday, July 20 vs. Ohio Valley Redcoats, 7:05pm - Myron Noodleman Appearance. Attempts made at written or verbal descriptions of Myron almost kept his career from ever starting! He can best be described as "the nerd of the Nineties" and "Pee Wee Herman without the machismo". However you describe him, a Noodleman experience must be seen to be believed. He's definitely in a world of his own.
