Fredricks Released From ATO

Providence, RI - The Providence Bruins, in their 17th season in the American Hockey League, announced that defenseman Jason Fredricks has been released from his Amateur Tryout Agreement. With the move, the P-Bruins have 27 players on their roster, including 15 forwards, nine defensemen and three goaltenders.

Fredricks, 22, signed with Providence on March 13, making his professional debut the following night in a 2-1 road shootout win over the Springfield Falcons. In five games, the blue-liner went scoreless with two penalty minutes and a minus-two rating. Prior to joining the P-Bruins, Fredricks enjoyed four seasons playing for the Colgate University Raiders. As a senior, the undrafted native of Eagle River, Wisconsin, scored a career-high 16 points, including a personal-best five goals in 37 games. He tallied a career-best 12 assists during a 15-point sophomore campaign. In his four years in the ECAC, Fredricks appeared in 149 games, totaling 41 points (10g, 31a) and 84 PIM.
