Toledo, OH - Toledo Walleye Athletic Trainer Brad Fredrick is the recipient of the 2014-15 ECHL Athletic Trainer of the Year Award presented by CCM. The award winner is chosen through a vote among all ECHL Athletic Trainers.

"I am truly honored to win this award," said Brad Fredrick. "There are so many outstanding trainers in this league, who are all very deserving. It is very nice to be elected by them."

Fredrick has been with the Toledo Walleye since its start in 2009 after working three seasons for the Toledo Storm in the same capacity. He was selected to work the ECHL All-Star contest on January 23, 2013 in Colorado. The 42-year-old handles the daily treatment and physical evaluation of the Walleye players.

Fredrick graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1995 with a degree in Athletic Training. He has also worked for many years covering high school sports in the Toledo Area with ProMedica's Sports Care.

"Brad Fredrick represents ProMedica on and off the ice, and all that it stands for in this community," said Ronda Winans, ProMedica Total Rehab Administrative Director. "We appreciate his commitment to keep the Walleyes healthy and the strong partnership we have with the whole team."
