Premium Naming Rights Opportunity Available

April 23, 2015 - ECHL (ECHL)
Brampton Beast News Release

PA Sports Centre Inc. in conjunction with Cosmos Sports and the Brampton Beast Hockey Club have formally announced the availability of the naming rights for the sports and entertainment complex currently known as Powerade Centre. The complex is located in the heart of the Peel Region, close to the border of Mississauga and Brampton and sees over 1.2 million visitors per year.

The centre features three community ice rinks, ball hockey courts, baseball diamonds and a spectator rink with flexible floorspace and seating for over 5,000 people. The centre's current agreement with Coca-Cola expires in the fall of 2015.

"Very few sports and entertainment facilities in Canada are as busy or as visible as the Powerade Centre," said Cosmos Sports and Brampton Beast President Cary Kaplan. "The Powerade Centre is part of cultural fabric of the Western GTA."

Situated at the intersection of highways 410 and 407, more than 100,000,000 people drive by the building annually. Approximately 2.1 million people live within a 20-minute drive of the Powerade Centre, which is the closest facility of its kind to Toronto Pearson International, Canada's busiest airport.

The Powerade Centre hosts over 100 sporting, arts and recreational events each year. The primary tenant of the facility is the Brampton Beast of the ECHL and is also home to the Brampton A's of the professional National Basketball League of Canada. Additionally, it is a principal venue for dozens of other amateur sporting events and tournaments such as the Silver Stick youth hockey tournament, the OFSAA Wrestling Championships, the Shrine Circus and various NHL Alumni Charity games.

"We are committed to supporting a creative and dynamic activation strategy that will result in an effective return on investment and objectives for the naming rights partner," says Kaplan.

The opportunity benefits for the successful naming rights partner would include exterior signage visible from the 407 and 410 highways, parking lot banners, spectator bowl and community rink displays and entrance signs and all online/digital marketing and branding. Naming rights arrangements are typically 10-20 years in length and as a result available options are few and far between.Currently, companies including Rexall, Hershey, Sony, Mastercard, Rogers, Air Canada and Ricoh are among those that have their names on prime sport and entertainment facilities in and around the Toronto area.

Companies interested in this opportunity are asked to contact Cary Kaplan at Cosmos Sports through email at carykaplan@gmail.com or by phone 905-564-4460.
