Frederick Keys News Release

Another close game late ended in the opposition's favor as Frederick blew a three-run seventh inning lead to fall in the series finale 6-5 to Lynchburg. The Keys are now 2-5 in one-run games.

Frederick trailed 2-0 early but rallied with a run in the sixth inning and four more in the seventh. The Keys tallied the four runs on four hits as C Caleb Joseph, SS Pedro Florimon and CF Matt Angle had RBI-singles in succession.

Lynchburg would rally scoring two runs with two outs in the seventh inning to climb back to within 5-4.

In the eighth inning Hillcats C Kris Watts singled and with two outs Keys LHP Brett Bordes walked CF Marcus Davis. In came RHP Luis Lebron who had not allowed a hit in five prior appearances.

But Lebron fell behind in the count and Hillcats 2B Ray Chang doubled home both runners to put Lynchburg atop for good.

Frederick relievers allowed all four inherited runners to score in the game.

The Keys who have dropped five-of-six try to right the ship Thursday, April 23rd at home against Potomac. It will be Thirsty Thursday in the Keys Cafe.
