Frank Jackson Named G League Player of the Week

SALT LAKE CITY - The NBA G League announced today that Salt Lake City Stars guard Frank Jackson has been named the G League Player of the Week for games played from Monday, Mar. 6, through Sunday, Mar. 12. It marks Jackson's second Player of the Week accolade, having also earned the honor this season for the week of Jan. 30 through Feb. 5.

Jackson (6-3, 205, Duke) averaged 33.7 points on 56.7 percent shooting, 44.1 percent from downtown, along with 2.6 rebounds during the week, helping the Stars to a 3-0 record on the road. Salt Lake City now stands at 17-11 on the regular season, with Jackson ranking third in the G League in points per game (24.2).

Here is a closer look at the week for Jackson:

Mar. 6 vs. Texas Legends: Recorded a season-high 45 points (16-of-23 FG), including 7-of-12 from behind the arc, in a 134-128 road victory against the Legends.

Mar. 8 vs. Oklahoma City Blue: Finished with game-high 24 points on 53.0 from the field, and 45.5 from behind the arc, while grabbing three boards in the team's 108-95 win vs. the Blue.

Mar. 10 vs. Oklahoma City Blue: Logged 32 points (13-of-27 FG), and contributed 3-of-11 three-point shots, along with four assists and four rebounds in a second straight 112-110 victory against the Blue.

The former Mr. Utah Basketball (2016) represented Salt Lake City in the 2023 NBA G League Next Up game during All-Star weekend and recently returned from a 10-Day Contract with the Utah Jazz.The Lone Peak High School Basketball alum is currently averaging 24.2 points on 50.6 percent from the field, and 44.3 percent from downtown, along with 2.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 34.0 minutes per contest in the G League regular season. The 24-year-old has totaled five games with 30-or-more points this season for the Stars.
