Franco Negri Named to MLS Team of the Matchday

Inter Miami CF defender Franco Negri has been named in the Team of the Matchday for Matchday 5 of the 2023 MLS regular season. The Argentine left back secured his spot on the team after a strong performance, registering a goal and an assist in the team's third home match of the season.
Negri netted a stunning goal with the outside of his left foot before going on to assist his fellow Argentine, Nicolás Stenfanelli, with a beautiful cross. The goal and assist were Negri's firsts in MLS and for Inter Miami. He also chipped in with a 88.6% passing rate and involved himself in a team-high 14 duels.
Thus far in 2023, Negri has started and played the first five games of the season, registering a total of 412 minutes and recording two clean sheets.
The defender is making his appearance in the MLS Team of the Matchday bench, his first Team of the Matchday appearance this season. Negri is the sixth different Inter Miami representative on an MLS TOTM through the first five matchdays of the 2023 season.
