
Fox Sports Southwest to Air Eight RoughRiders Games

FRISCO, TEXAS - The Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, are pleased to announce that the club has entered into a partnership with Fox Sports Southwest, the television home of the Rangers. The network will air at least eight RoughRiders games during the 2016 season. The first television broadcast is this Thursday, April 28 when the RoughRiders host the San Antonio Missions (San Diego Padres affiliate) at Dr Pepper Ballpark, with a 7:00 p.m. air-time.
On the first broadcast Thursday, RoughRiders broadcaster Nathan Barnett will be joined by analyst Mike Bascik, a former Major League pitcher and Texas Ranger, analyst for Fox Sports Southwest on select college baseball games, fill-in host on "Rangers Live," and a co-host on KRLD 105.3 The Fan's afternoon drive show "G-Bag Nation."
Members of the Rangers front office will join the broadcasts throughout the season to help highlight the strength and success of the Rangers minor league system. On Thursday, Paul Kruger, Assistant Director of Player Development, will join the broadcast during the middle innings to discuss the state of the Rangers farm system and some of the top Rangers prospects throughout the organization.
