MONTREAL - Defenders Zachary Brault-Guillard and Kamal Miller, as well as goalkeeper James Pantemis and midfielder Samuel Piette have been selected by the Canadian Men's National Team ahead of three Concacaf qualifying matches for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Currently sitting in second place in the eight-team table (1-0-2), the Canadians will begin this FIFA international window with two consecutive road games. John Herdman's squad will face Mexico on October 7 at 9:40pm at Estadio Azteca followed by a duel against Jamaica at Independence Park in Kingston, on October 10, at 6pm. To conclude, Canada will host Panama October 13 at 7:30pm in front of its home fans at BMO Field.

During the previous international window, defender Kamal Miller featured in all three of Canada's World Cup qualifiers, earning a starting 11 spot against both Honduras and El Salvador and making a 58th minute substitute appearance against the United States. The Scarborough native has been capped 14 times with the senior national side since his first call-up in 2019.

After 14 matches played by each team, the three highest-ranked sides secure automatic tournament qualification. The fourth-best team will enter an inter-confederation home-and-away playoff in June 2022 against a yet-to-be-determined opponent from a different confederation.
