As mentioned, this will be the last game for NYCFC before the October international break affords the group two weeks away from MLS action.

By forcing their opponents to make decisions under pressure, NYCFC have managed to score some important early goals in games and in turn give themselves the foundation to succeed. A return to that trait is vital on Sunday if they are to unsettle Nashville SC. Aside from the benefits, seeing NYCFC play at a quick pace with the ball zipping across the grass, is exciting to watch, and a sign the team are being themselves.
Ronny Deila has talked about simplifying things as they look to address the current run of form, and something as simple as starting the game on the front foot could be a great way to achieve that.
