Foster & Acrobats Highlight Signature Saturday
May 3, 2012 - International League (IL1)
Indianapolis Indians News Release
INDIANAPOLIS -- Former Tribe outfielder and major league great George Foster is scheduled to sign autographs for fans, while the high flying acrobats of the Sandou Trio, masters of The Russian Bar, provide in-game entertainment when the Indianapolis Indians begin their homestand on May 5 with a Signature Saturday at Victory Field.
Foster is scheduled to sign from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., behind section 110 on the main concourse of Victory Field. He will sign one personal item per fan, but is not able to sign any premium items (bats or jerseys). Foster, who played for the Tribe during the 1973 season, also spent time in the majors with the Cincinnati Reds, San Francisco Giants, New York Mets and Chicago White Sox.
Fans are reminded they can pick up Indians merchandise including baseballs, hats and T-shirts to have Foster sign in both the Hot Corner Gift Shop (open Monday - Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. through the end of the game) and at the Big League Shop (open during games only) at Victory Field.
Along with Foster, Saturday will feature the acrobats of the Sandou Trio, who will perform their high-flying act on field throughout the contest. The Trio has mastered the Russian Bar after years with the Ringling Brothers Circus and now performs for audiences in Las Vegas. Their performance features two men holding a balance-beam type board which they use to throw their third trio member high into the air as she performs front and back flips, twists and more, all while continually landing on the beam with incredible accuracy.
Tickets to Saturday's game and all 10 contests of the Indians upcoming homestand (May 5-14) are available by going online to IndyIndians.com, calling the Indians single game ticket hotline at 317-269-2282 or by visiting the Victory Field Box Office open daily at 501 West Maryland Street.
