Forward Kyle Mackinnon Loaned to Reading

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that forward Kyle MacKinnon ["mac KIN non"] has been loaned by the Providence Bruins of the AHL to the Royals.

MacKinnon (5'11/194) (24), a first year pro from Walnut, California, has scored one goal and assisted on another (two points) and picked up two penalty minutes in nineteen games with the P-Bruins this season. He joined Providence late last year-and registered three points (1g-2a) in five games with the P-Bruins-after completing his senior season at Providence College. In thirty-four games during his senior year with the Friars, MacKinnon scored a team leading fourteen goals and recorded nine assists (twenty-three points) and was a co-recipient of the Lou Lamoriello Award as the team's most valuable player. In four seasons at Providence College, MacKinnon, who was a three-time selection to Hockey East's All-Academic Team, registered seventy-one points (37g-34a) in 137 total games.

The Royals are back on the ice tonight (Friday, December 2, 2011 @ 7:05 pm), when the team will face the Wheeling Nailers for the first time this year. The Royals will honor the Berks County Sheriff's Department tonight. It's also our Pucks-N-Paws night with a happy hour in 'The Corner' Restaurant and Bar from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm. The game night broadcast will start at 6:35 pm with the Red Robin Gourmet Burger Pre-Game Warm-up Show on ESPN Radio 1240 am in Reading.
