Forward Chris Chappell Returned To Charlotte

HARTFORD, November 4, 2009: Hartford Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the parent New York Rangers have reassigned forward Chris Chappell from the Wolf Pack to the team's ECHL affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers.

Chappell played one game for the Wolf Pack, Saturday's 7-0 home win over Providence, after having joined the Pack from Charlotte earlier that day. He was even with five penalty minutes and two shots on goal in that game. In three ECHL games with Charlotte, the rookie out of the Ontario Hockey League had one assist.

Chappell was signed as a free agent by the Rangers July 2, after tallying 38 goals and 38 assists for 76 points in 68 games with the OHL's Saginaw Spirit last season.

The Wolf Pack return to action this Friday night, November 6, traveling to Providence to take on the Bruins at 7:05 (WTIC HD-2, www.hartfordwolfpack.com, www.wtic.com ). The Pack's next home game is Friday, November 13, when the Manchester Monarchs come to town on Guida's Family Value Night.
