Binghamton Senators News Release


ALBANY, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators kicked off a stretch of six games on the road with a match versus the East Division rival Albany River Rats.

Binghamton handed the Rats their fourth loss in a row, kicking off their road swing with a 2-0 victory at the Times Union Center.

Following a scoreless first period, forward Cody Bass put the B-Sens up 1-0 at 5:37 of the second period. Josh Hennessy registered the lone assist on the goal.

With 56 seconds remaining in the third period, Martin St. Pierre added insurance with an empty net goal, assisted by Brandon Svendsen and Ryan Keller. St. Pierre and Keller remained tied for the B-Sens lead in points, each with 11 now.

Mike Brodeur stopped all 25 shots he faced between the pipes on his way to the shutout.

Up next, the Binghamton Senators hit the road to Montreal, Quebec where they will face the North Division's Hamilton Bulldogs at the Bell Centre Friday, Nov. 6 at 7:30 p.m.
