The Force headed into the third with 2:05 still left on a powerplay opportunity thanks to a high sticking call against the Lancers late in the second. But it was Omaha who scored with a shortie from Garrett Wright, his second goal of the night. The Force had a few good looks at the net but penalties late in the period shut down their offensive opportunities and the Lancers secured the 4-1 win in night one of the two game series.

The teams are back again tomorrow night at Ralston Arena for a 6:05pm C.T. puck drop, tune in via www.hockeytv.com.
