Fargo Force News Release
The Fargo Force (3-1-0-1) hit the road this weekend for a pair of games vs the Omaha Lancers (2-3-1-0) on Friday, October 22nd and Saturday, October 23rd.
The Force are coming off two home games vs. the Lincoln Stars resulting in a 4-2 on Oct. 14, followed by a 5-4 win on the 15th for 2 out of 4 possible points on the weekend.
Omaha is fresh off a split weekend as well having beat the Waterloo Blackhawks 2-1 in a shootout and falling to the Musketeers 3-2 the next day.
Leading scorers for the Force include Andre Gasseau (5G-2A) and Cole Knuble (2G-5A) both averaging 1.40 PPG. The top scoring duo are a dangerous pair on the same line with 4 of Gasseau's goals coming off assists from Knuble.
The Lancers are led by Garret Wright (2G-3A) who put up a goal in each game last weekend one of which came in their shootout vs. Waterloo. The Lancers are currently averaging 2.16 PPG compared to the Force's 3.6 PPG average.
Following this weekend's contests, the Force are back home for two games vs. the Waterloo Blackhawks on Oct. 29 and Oct. 30. The Fargo Force will be holding a memorial game for the team founder and owner Ace Brandt on Friday the 29th. Followed by Halloween Night on the 30th complete with Suite or Treat, a Costume Contest and more!
