FULLERTON, Calif. (June 17, 2010) - The Flyers scored six runs over the final two inning for a come-from-behind win over the Calgary Vipers, 6-4, at Goodwin Field on Thursday night. Rookie David Harris' bases-clearing double provided the difference as Orange County (9-12) earned its first home win of the year.

The Flyers offense struggled against Calgary starter Jay Broughton, who pitched six scoreless innings, giving up just three hits while striking out five and walking two.

Orange County got on the board in the seventh on former CSUF Titan Sergio Pedroza's two-run homerun, his first of the season.

In the eighth inning, Orange County began the inning loading the bases off Vipers reliever Berek Fasking before Rene Miniel took over on the mound and struck out the next two batters before surrendering Harris' three-run double. Derek Perren added an insurance RBI, singling home Harris one batter later.

Jamie Niley pitched a scoreless eighth inning to earn the win, and Andre Simpson threw a 1-2-3 ninth for his third save on the year.

Former National League All-Star Byung-Hyun Kim makes his first home start on Friday as Orange County takes on the first place Yuma Scopions at Goodwin Field. First pitch is at 6:05pm.
