OREM, Utah, Jan. 20, 2009 - Andre Ingram scored a season-high 26 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Utah Flash to a commanding 113-85 NBA Development League victory over the visiting Los Angeles D-Fenders Tuesday night at the McKay Events Center.
Ingram, who picked up 17 of his game-high 26 points in the second half, connected on 11-of-20 (55%) from the field-including 7-of-12 (58%) in the second half.
"Andre has had some ups-and-downs this season, but he has always been a terrific shooter." Flash head coach Brad Jones said. "I was excited to see him have such a wonderful night."
Utah (11-9) snaps a two-game losing streak with the victory and is host to the Tulsa 66ers on Friday. The D-Fenders (5-15) suffered their seventh consecutive loss and will return home Thursday to take on the Reno Bighorns.
The Flash took advantage of 20 first half points off of 13 D-Fenders turnovers to take a 20 point lead into the half. Utah Jazz assignee Kyrylo Fesenko, who recorded a double-double with a season-high 20 points and 10 rebounds, and scored the last six points of a Flash 14-4 run to close out the first half.
Fesenko, who entered the night averaging 11.7 points and 9.7 rebounds in six games with the Flash since being assigned by the Jazz, recorded his second double-double in the last five games.
The Flash opened up a 28-point lead early in the third quarter after a Fesenko dunk put the cap on an 11-3 run. Utah's eventual 28-point victory marks the largest margin of victory in franchise history-passing last season's 111-84 victory over Anaheim.
C.J. Giles recorded a double-double with a D-League career high 22 points in the win on 10-of-12 (83-percent) shooting, and 12 rebounds. Joe Crawford, who knocked down 44 points against the Flash Jan. 9, added 16 points for Los Angeles while Dwayne Mitchell chipped in 13 points.
Ronald Dupree, who joined the Flash just over an hour prior to tipoff after a sign-and-trade sent center Steven Hill to Tulsa and Dupree to Utah, picked up 16 points off the bench in his Flash debut and limited L.A.'s Crawford on the defensive end.
"He (Dupree) arrived at the arena about 5:30 this evening, and we taught him five plays." Jones added. "One thing Ronald did a really nice job of tonight was stopping Joe Crawford on defense. It didn't take us long to realize what a great presence he is on the floor for us."
Dontell Jefferson added 12 points for the Flash, while Carlos Wheeler and Ryan Diggs notched 14 and 10 points, respectively, off a Flash bench that outscored the D-Fenders bench 46-24.
