Vipers Trade For Ernest Scott

HIDALGO, TEXAS - The NBA D-League Rio Grande Valley Vipers announced that they have acquired Ernest Scott from the Idaho Stampede for Tierre Brown, who the Vipers acquired this morning.

A 6-7, 225 pound forward out of Valdosta State, Scott is averaging 6.5 points and 2.2 rebounds per game. In 19 games (two starts), Scott scored in double-figures six times, including 17 points in his second- to-last game on January 15th against the Reno Bighorns. Scott is shooting 39.5% (30-of-76) from behind the arc, including 41.4% (12- of-29) in January.

"What Ernest will bring, that we are in dire need of, is a threat from the three-point line. Ernest will extend and space the floor for us. He can guard multiple positions. He's been in big games up in Idaho for the last two seasons," said head coach Clay Moser.

Scott will be in uniform for tonight's 7:00 p.m. game against the Anaheim Arsenal at Dodge Arena.
