Flames Send Brett Carson to Abbotsford on Conditioning Assignment

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Flames announced today that defenseman Brett Carson has been sent to the Abbotsford Heat on a conditioning assignment.

Carson joined the Flames last season after being claimed on waivers from Carolina on February 28, 2010 and played six games with Calgary during the remainder of the season. Brett was injured during off-season training and has yet to play a game this season.

The Heat next faces the Chicago Wolves on Friday for the first meeting of the season against the affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, who played in Manitoba last season. Friday's game is a 5:30 PM Pacific start time, with the pre-game show starting at 5:15 PM on Country 107.1 and theAHL.com.
