Saint John Flames News Release


Saint John, NB – The Saint John Flames announced today that 22-year-old centre Shawn Mather, 21-year-old defenceman Pierre-Luc Courchesne, 23-year-old right wing Sam St. Pierre and 26-year-old left wing J.F. Boutin have been released from their professional tryouts and will report to the Johnstown Chiefs of the East Coast Hockey League.

Mather made his AHL debut with Saint John this season recording 5 points (2 goals, 3 assists) and 12 penalty minutes in 40 appearances.

Courchesne made his AHL debut with Saint John, appearing in 3 games recording 2 assists and 8 penalty minutes.

Boutin made 1 appearance with Saint John recording 1 assist.

St. Pierre made his AHL debut with Saint John, appearing in 1 game.

The Flames are currently traveling to St. John's, Newfoundland for games on Tuesday, February 11 (7:05 p.m.) and Wednesday, February 12 (7:05 p.m.) versus the Maple Leafs. All games are listed in Saint John time.
