LAKEWOOD, NJ - Colby Fitch drove in the winning run with a 10th inning single as the BlueClaws topped Greensboro 5-4 on Tuesday night at FirstEnergy Park.

Lakewood (6-6) left the winning run on second base in the ninth inning, but through off Travis Neubeck (1-1) in the 10th for the win.

Addison Russ came on in the ninth for Lakewood and threw two scoreless innings, including stranding a runner at second base in the 10th. Russ has now thrown six scoreless innings so far this year and improved to 2-0 with the win.

It was the first walk-off win of the year for the BlueClaws, who improved to 2-0 in extra innings. Trailing 3-0, the Grasshoppers got two runs in the sixth off Luis Carrasco and two in the seventh off Randy Alcantara to take the lead. However, Colby Fitch tripled in the eighth, coming home on a Daniel Brito groundout, to tie the game.

The BlueClaws opened up the scoring in the second when Dalton Guthrie singled home Colby Fitch with the game's first run. Then in the fourth, Gregori Rivero homered, his first of the season and eighth as a professional, to put the BlueClaws up 3-0.

Lakewood, however, couldn't capitalize on first-and-third with none out in the fifth, and didn't score again against Grasshoppers starter Brady Puckett. Puckett allowed three runs, but only one earned, over seven innings.

Lakewood starter David Parkinson threw five shutout innings, allowing three hits and striking out five.

The teams finish their three-game series on Wednesday night at 6:35 pm. RHP Ramon Rosso (0-0) starts for the BlueClaws.
