BlueClaws Junior Dance Team Returns in 2018

LAKEWOOD, NJ - The BlueClaws Junior Dance Team is back! The BlueClaws will have a dance team perform at select games, just before that night's fireworks show, throughout the season and dancers will receive professional level experience and instruction throughout the summer!

The BlueClaws Dance Team is open to dancers ages 7-18. No tryouts are required, but dance experience is required.

Dancer performances will take place just before the fireworks following BlueClaws games on June 16th, July 14th, July 28th, and August 18th.

OPEN REGISTRATION - Open registration will take place on Saturday, April 21st at FirstEnergy Park from 10 am - 4 pm, but phone registration is also available Monday through Friday from 10 am - 5 pm. "There's nothing quite like the thrill of performance in front of thousands of people on a packed night at the park," said Lou Jacobs of Statewide USA Pro Cheer, who will run the team. "But more than that, the experience and training that the girls will be getting through this program is extensive and immensely valuable."

Jacobs previously directed dance teams for the NFL, NBA, and AFL.

The dance team will go through monthly training sessions running through October and performances will include, but will not be limited to, BlueClaws games, for which each dancer will get a free ticket when additional friends and family tickets are purchased through the program.

Each dancer will also receive an official uniform to go along with the hours of instruction. Dancers will be broken into two teams, a Junior Pro team for dancers ages 13-18, and a Junior Prep team for dancers ages 7-12.
