North Augusta, SC: The Augusta GreenJackets, South Atlantic League affiliate of San Francisco Giants, got a 6-5 win Tuesday night against the Kannapolis Intimidators.

The second inning is where this game got wild, when Luis Gonzalez hit a Grand Slam for the Intimidators. This took away all the momentum that the GreenJackets had gotten in the previous inning when they were up 1-0.

Then with two outs in the second, the rally started. In his first at bat as GreenJacket, Trevor Abrams hit a double to right field. He scored after Logan Baldwin's grounder got past the second basemen and scored Abrams. Then after Heliot Ramos got walked, Shane Matheny cleared the bases with a double to left. From there, Jean Angomas doubled to left field, which scored Matheny from second. The GreenJackets were not done yet, Ryan Kirby then singled to right field and Angomas came around to score. The inning produced five runs for the GreenJackets.

The GreenJackets pitching did a great job in keeping the lead over the next seven innings that followed. John Russell would go three innings, only allowing three hits. He was followed by CJ Gettman, who went three and 2/3 innings only giving up two hits. Then Camilo Doval came in for a four out save. He took care of business getting his first save of the season for the GreenJackets.

The GreenJackets are back in action tomorrow at 10:35 am against Kannapolis. Tomorrow is education day at the ballpark as SRP Park opens its doors to students all around the CSRA.
