Fisher Cats Roll 11-3 In Bowie For Fourth Straight

New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release
(Bowie, MD)-Adeiny Hechavarria went 4-for-5 with three RBI and four runs scored as the Fisher Cats won a fourth straight with an 11-3 decision over Bowie on Friday night before 8,228 on Navy Night at Prince George's Stadium.
Henderson Alvarez (8-4) picked up his eighth win, working the first five innings. He allowed seven hits and three runs (two earned). He walked one and struck out five.
With the U. S. Naval Academy's Class of 2015 looking on, the Fisher Cats (63-49) struck quickly against RHP Bobby Bundy, who was making his Eastern League debut. Anthony Gose homered on the game's second pitch for a 1-0 lead. Hechavarria singled and Danny Perales reached on a fielders choice as Hechavarria moved to third. Travis d'Arnaud and Moises Sierra followed with consecutive RBI singles for a 3-0 lead.
Bowie (61-51) loaded the bases with no outs in the bottom of the first inning with Xavier Avery, who had singled, scoring on a double play grounder by Joe Mahoney to make it 3-1.
In the top of the second inning, Gose walked and stole second (his 51st of the season). Adeiny Hechavarria singled to centerfield, scoring Gose, and when the ball scooted past Xavier Avery and rolled to the wall, Hechavarria came all the way around to score on the error to put New Hampshire up 5-1.
Bowie trimmed the lead to 5-3 in the bottom of the second inning against Alvarez. Brandon Waring singled and scored on a triple by Pedro Florimon. Steve Lerud followed with an RBI single, plating Florimon.
The Fisher Cats added a run in the top of the fourth inning. Hechavarria's third hit of the game was a single, and he scored on d'Arnaud's third hit of the game, a double off the centerfield wall.
In the top of the sixth, Jonathan Diaz singled, Gose singled and Hechavarria made it 8-3 with a triple to centerfield. He scored when Danny Perales reached on an error.
New Hampshire's final two runs came in the top of the ninth inning. Moises Sierra singled, Joe Bowen walked and Craig Stansberry drilled an RBI double. Bowen then scored on a passed ball to make it 11-3.
Frank Gailey and B. J. LaMura each worked two scoreless innings in relief for New Hampshire with a combined five strikeouts.
The Fisher Cats continue the series against the Baysox on Saturday night at 6:35pm. RHP Yohan Pino (2-5, 4.68) starts for New Hampshire and RHP Zach Clark will go for Bowie. Radio coverage with Bob Lipman begins at 6:15pm on the WGIR Fisher Cats Radio Network.
