April 27, 2008 - Eastern League (EL1)
New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release

Manchester, NH- The New Hampshire Fisher Cats have their first two-game winning streak of the season after rallying from a 2-0 deficit to knock off the Bowie Baysox, 3-2, Sunday afternoon before 4,678 fans at Merchantsauto.com Stadium. Ryan Patterson went 4-for-4 with two doubles and scored the winning run on a bases-loaded sacrifice fly by Brian Jeroloman in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Reliever Seth Overbey (1-0) pitched a perfect eighth inning to record his first win. Zach Dials worked around a pair of two-out walks to Sebastien Boucher (0-for-2, 2 BB, RBI) and Jonathan Tucker (0-for-3, BB) in the ninth inning to induce a game-ending ground out from Kennard Jones (0-for-5), giving Dials his first career Eastern League save.

Bowie (11-12) grabbed a 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning when Boucher drew a bases-loaded walk from Fisher Cats starter Brandon Magee.

Jeff Nettles (2-for-4, RBI) drove in the second Baysox run with an infield single in the top of the fifth inning that scored Carlos Rojas (1-for-4, R) for a 2-0 Bowie lead.

Magee enjoyed his best start of the season, allowing two runs on seven hits and one walk in a season-high seven innings. The right-hander did not record a strikeout.

New Hampshire (7-15) trimmed the lead to 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth inning when Patterson led off with a double down the left field line off Baysox starter Jason Berken (5 IP-1 ER-5 H-9 K). Kyle Phillips (1-for-3, IW) followed with a bloop single to left, and Ryan Klosterman (0-for-1, SF, 2 BB, RBI) lined a sacrifice fly to right, scoring Patterson.

Anthony Hatch (2-for-4, HR, RBI) drilled a solo home run, his second, over the right field wall off Bowie reliever Ryan Keefer (1.2 IP-1 ER) in the bottom of the sixth, tying the game 2-2.

Facing Gerardo Casadiego with one out in the bottom of the eighth inning, Patterson lined his Eastern League-leading 12th double of the season to the wall in left field. After Casadiego (0-2) intentionally walked Phillips, new pitcher Julio Manon walked Klosterman. Jeroloman then lifted a deep sacrifice fly to left field that was snagged by Lou Montanez as he crashed into the manual scoreboard, bringing home Patterson with the winning run.

The Fisher Cats take Monday off before playing host to the Reading Phillies Tuesday night at 6:35pm. Left-hander Ricky Romero (1-2, 4.43) will try to give New Hampshire its third straight victory when he pitches against Phillies left-hander Fabio Castro (3-0, 2.25) at 6:35pm. Radio coverage begins at 6:15pm with Bob Lipman and Mike Murphy on the WGIR Fisher Cats Radio Network.
