New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release

Manchester, N.H. - The New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays Double-A affiliate) have added yet another marquee prospect to their first-place roster: RHP T.J. Zeuch (Zoik).

The 21st overall pick in the 2016 draft is scheduled to make his Double-A debut in a start against the Portland Sea Dogs (Red Sox Double-A affiliate) on Tuesday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.

In six starts with Advanced-A Dunedin this season, Zeuch went 3-3 with a 3.47 ERA, striking out 25 batters with nine walks in 36.1 innings. His most impressive outing came on April 17, when he shut down the Fort Myers Miracle (Twins Advanced-A affiliate) over six scoreless innings with a career-high eight strikeouts.

Listed at 6'7" and 225 pounds, the 22-year-old Zeuch is ranked No. 4 among Blue Jays pitching prospects by MLB.com, thanks in part to his sinking fastball that can reach 97 mph.

After three years at the University of Pittsburgh, Zeuch signed for $2.175 million as the Blue Jays first-round pick in 2016. Later in the same draft, Toronto selected current Fisher Cats Bo Bichette (second round), Zack Jackson (third round) and Cavan Biggio (fifth round).

Zeuch joins a staunch starting rotation, featuring Jordan Romano (5-0, 2.57 ERA), Sean Reid-Foley (5-0, 1.83 ERA) and Jon Harris (28th overall pick in 2015).

Following the best April in team history, the first-place Fisher Cats (18-9) have continued their winning ways in the month of May, and will continue their three-game series with the Sea Dogs on Tuesday and Wednesday at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.
