One hit made the difference in Tuesday night's matchup, as the Thunder were shut out by the Reading Fightin Phils, 2-0, at ARM & HAMMER Park, ending Trenton's winning streak at six games.

Thunder (19-11) starter Dillon Tate allowed a single and a hit-by-pitch in the third inning, and Zach Green doubled to left-center, scoring both runners. Tate, however, would not allow a run the rest of the way, and Caleb Frare pitched two scoreless innings in relief.

But the Thunder could not manage a run against Fightin Phils (11-17) starter Harold Arauz, who scattered four hits over five and one-third innings before a relief duo of Seth McGarry and Edgar Garcia combined for three and two-thirds scoreless innings to complete the shutout for the visiting team.

Trenton stranded six runners in the game and went 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position.

Rehabbing Yankees third baseman Brandon Drury went 1-for-4 with a single in his fifth game for the Thunder.

Your Thunder conclude their homestand on Wednesday morning at 10:30am against the Fightin Phils. RHP Jonathan Loaisiga (0-0, 1.80) will start for the Thunder, and LHP JoJo Romero (0-3, 7.18) will go for Reading. The morning matchup will celebrate Education Day at the ballpark. Tickets are available by phone at 609-394-3300 or online at TrentonThunder.com.
