FOREST CITY, N.C. -- Tonight the Lexington Blowfish visited the Forest City Owls in western division play. Hayden Deal got the start on the mound for the Blowfish.
Early in the bottom of the first the Owls scored two runs and in the fourth gained four more.
The Blowfish made a push at the Owls in the fifth, scoring three runs but would be held scoreless until the ninth where the Blowfish were able to get one run across the plate.
Lexington County was unable to get much going offensively due to the defensive plays by the Owls. Jared Williams, Chas McCormick and Bret Auckland were the hot hitters tonight for the Blowfish, all three players finished with at least two hits and all three scored runs.
Final score: Forest City 8, Blowfish 3.
The Blowfish will take on the Florence RedWolves tomorrow on the road at 7:05 pm
