First-Round Pick Radulov Reassigned to Milwaukee

Nashville, Tenn. - Nashville Predators Executive Vice President/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has reassigned forward Alexander Radulov to the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League.

Radulov begins his first professional season after being selected by Nashville in the first round of the 2004 NHL Entry draft. The Russian native put together an amazing season last year with the Quebec Remparts of the QMJHL where he posted 152 points (61g-91) in just 62 games regular season games and helped to guide the Remparts to the Memorial Cup, which is given annually to the top junior team in the Canadian Hockey League. For his efforts, Radulov was named the QMJHL most valuable player and the Player of the Year in the CHL.

The 6-1, 188-lbs forward will become the Predators seventh first-round draft pick to don an Admirals sweater. Others first-round include David Legwand (1998), Brian Finley (1999), Dan Hamhuis (2001), Scottie Upshall (2002), Ryan Suter (2003), and Ryan Parent (2005).

Milwaukee opens the season this Saturday, October 7th at 7:30 pm versus the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights.
