FRISCO, Texas - The Frisco RoughRiders, Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, are proud to announce the club is accepting names of local first responders to be included on custom jerseys worn by the team on First Responders & Community Night presented by Operation Blue Shield on Saturday, June 30.

The custom jerseys will feature the names of local active and retired first responders incorporated into the design. Riders fans can nominate local first responders (name, rank/title and area of service) online here through Wednesday, May 2.

"The RoughRiders value the sacrifice and courage that first responders exhibit every day in keeping our communities safe," General Manager Jason Dambach said. "The opportunity to honor them with such a unique and special tribute on First Responders & Community Night is our way of saying thanks for all they do."

First Responders Night & Community Night also features an actor synonymous with the police force, Reggie VelJohnson, who is forever tied to Officer Carl Winslow from Family Matters and Sgt. Al Powell from the Die Hard movie franchise. First Responders & Community Night includes a special Meet & Greet with VelJohnson.

The custom First Responders jerseys will be available at auction and benefit Operation Blue Shield.
