
First-place Falcons to host Girl Scout cookie rally Friday

Your first place Fresno Falcons beat Stockton on Friday and Long Beach on Saturday, both on the road to jump back in to a tie for first place. Your Falcons host the Long Beach Ice Dogs this Tuesday night at 7pm on a Carl's Jr. Two for Tuesday. 2 for 1Ticket Coupons are available at area Carl's Jr. Restaurants. Your Falcons travel to Bakersfield Wednesday night to play the Evil Condors in a Pacific Division showdown (Fresno and Bakersfield are currently tied for first in the Pacific Division.), before returning to the Save Mart Center home ice Friday night at 7:30pm to play the Phoenix Roadrunners. The first 3000 fans at Friday's game will receive a free Falcons All-Star Poster courtesy of Dumont Printing. The posters will feature Falcons All-Stars Luke Curtin, Ryan MacDonald and Tom Walsh, all three Falcons All-Stars will sign autographs after the game. Friday's game also features pregame Chalk Talk with Coach Matt Thomas on the concourse and a post game "Meet the Team" party at Logans Roadhouse on N. Blackstone.
Friday's game also features the Fresno Falcons/Girl Scouts-Golden Valley Council Cookie Rally at the Save Mart Center. Several hundred Girl Scouts will attend the game as part of the 2007 Fresno Falcons Girl Scout Cookie Rally where fans will actually be able to place Girl Scout Cookie orders at Friday's game. Friday, January 26th is the first day of Cookie Sales for the Girl Scouts, celebrating their 95th Anniversary and their 90th Anniversary of Cookie Sales. (see information below on the Girl Scout Cookie Sales) The Girl Scouts will also be participating in the First Intermission Girl Scout Parade on the ice led by 2007 Grand Marshall Carolyn Kovalski, Executive Director of Heald College and a Girl Scout Alum. All Girl Scouts and Alum are welcome. Girl Scout Troops may order tickets through the Golden Valley Council Office by calling 559-291-5078. The Cookie Rally Ticket Package is $ 14.00 and includes a $ 17.00 ticket, a Falcons 2007 Cookie Rally patch, and the chance to win an autographed jersey. The Girl Scouts are also selling tickets at their office to Girl Scout alums and friends of the Girl Scouts. Interested ticket buyers should call 291-5078.
