Storm shut out Chiefs, 3-0

Toledo, Ohio (January 21, 2007) - The Toledo Storm defeated the Johnstown Chiefs by a score of 3-0 at the Toledo Sports Arena on Sunday.

After a scoreless first period, Jamie Tardif got Toledo on the board with the Storm on the power play, picking up the rebound of a shot by Ken Magowan at 13:37 of the second. Just 24 seconds later, Bruce Mulherin scored for Toledo on a wrist shot from the top of the slot that beat Morgan Cey over the right shoulder. Cey made 15 saves on 17 shots before yielding the net to the newly-acquired Ryan Munce after Mulherin's goal.

Toledo made it 3-0 when Chris Blight ripped a wrist shot through Munce's legs at the 17:08 mark of the third period. The Chiefs were 0-for-4 on the man-advantage, and Munce made 20 saves on 21 shots in relief of Cey.

The Augusta Lynx will visit the War Memorial on January 27, which will be Froggy95 Family Night!
