ABOUT LAST GAME: The Fireflies dropped both games of the doubleheader on Tuesday. In game two, Columbia fell 2-1 and suffered a 7-5 loss in eight innings in game one. Matt Winaker, Jeremy Vasquez, Quinn Brodey and Rigoberto Terrazas all recorded multi-hit games in game one.

FRANCHISE RECORD: Game two starter Chris Viall struck out 12 in 5.1 IP. That tied Jordan Humphreys' single-game franchise record he set one year ago yesterday (April 24, 2017 v. Asheville)

FRACNHISE RECORD, Pt. II: Jeremy Vasquez reached base in both games on Tuesday. Vasquez has reached base safely in all 18 games he's played in this season-the best streak for all Low-A level hitters (SAL and Midwest League). He is one of the most patient hitters in the SAL, too - he's first in the league in walks (18) and second in on-base percentage (.481). The 18 straight is a new franchise record, passing Jay Jabs, Luis Carpio and Andres Gimenez's 17 straight set during the 2017 season

MON-STARS: Columbia's offense has been arguably the best in the league through the season's first 19 games. Check out Columbia's SAL rankings:

2nd, Batting average - .273 1st, Walks - 84

1st,, Hits - 172 1st, OBP - .364

1st,, Runs - 97 1st, Triples - 12

1st, Doubles - 35

WELCOME TO THE SHOW: Merandy Gonzalez became the first former Firefly to reach the big leagues. Gonzalez pitched two scoreless innings of relief for the Marlins in his MLB debut on Thursday, April 19. His first professional strikeout came against 2014 ALCS MVP Lorenzo Cain in the seventh inning.

The 22-year-old was practically unstoppable in his time with the Fireflies.

- 2017: 11 starts, 8-1 record, 1.55 ERA, 65 K, 13 BB
