Flint, Mich. - The Firebirds rallied from a 3-0 deficit Saturday night to tie the contest in the third period and eventually force overtime, earning their first point of the season. However, Sarnia was able to hang on and pick up the victory in the extra frame.

After Ty Dellandrea's jersey sold for a record $2,100 USD, the Firebirds raised $11,250 in the club's jersey auction after the game, with all proceeds being donated to breast cancer research through the McLaren Flint Foundation. The total amount of funds raised through the 4th annual "Pink Out The Rink" night will be announced in the coming week.

Connor Roberts recorded a four-point night, Ty Dellandrea notched three assists, Ethan Keppen tallied two goals and Luke Cavallin made 38 saves on 43 shots in the 6-5 overtime loss to Sarnia Saturday.
