Oshawa Generals News Release

Tonight, the Oshawa Generals open this weekend's double header at the Tribute Communities Centre against the Kitchener Rangers. The Gens head into the game with a four-game winning streak after last weekend's sweep that saw them take down the London Knights and the Peterborough Petes twice, along with last night's 5-3 victory over the Hamilton Bulldogs. The team will look to carry that momentum into tonight's game and start off their home double header on a winning note.

Today's game will be the first time the Gens battle the Rangers this season. Oshawa enters the game with a 7-4-1-0 record in their first 12 games while Kitchener is 6-5-2-0 in their opening 13 games. The Rangers are coming off three straight losses after dropping another game last night against the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. The Gens will look to shut down a desperate Rangers team as they aim to extend their winning streak to five games in a row.

Several Gens are coming off great performances in last night's tilt against the Bulldogs. Kyle Maclean potted two goals on the night, with one shorthanded goal off a two-on-one with Jack Studnicka. The captain also notched another assist on the night for a 2-point performance. Both should be watched in tonight's game as they look to keep up their offensive success. Serron Noel also continued to add to his team lead in goals yesterday, scoring his 10th in 12 games. Adding an assist to the goal, Noel now has 14 points on the season and will aim to pile on more tonight.

Come join us at the Tribute Communities Centre tonight for a special evening as the Generals are hosting their first ever First Responders Night! The evening will see the Gens wear special themed jerseys honouring local emergency services; Oshawa Fire, Durham Regional Police and Region of Durham Emergency Services.

Catch the Gens back in action again tomorrow night as they take on the Kingston Frontenacs to close out their double header at home!
