Final Home Game of 2022 Tonight 7pm
December 16, 2022 - Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL)
Halifax Mooseheads News Release
Your Halifax Mooseheads (19-7-3-1) will play on home ice at Scotiabank Centre for the final time in 2022 tonight when they entertain the visiting Charlottetown Islanders (12-15-2-0) at 7pm.
The Herd are coming off a tough 4-3 overtime defeat at home to the Wildcats on Wednesday in a game that saw Jordan Dumais score twice in his first game back with the team since late November while rookie Reece Peitzsche also found the back of the net. Halifax sits third overall in the QMJHL standings with 42 points and remains in first place in the Maritimes Division, 16 points ahead of the Islanders.
Mathieu Cataford suffered a cut near his eye in the second period of Wednesday's loss and was forced to leave the game but is expected to return to the lineup tonight as Halifax tries to earn at least a point in a seventh consecutive outing.
A large crowd of more the 8,000 fans is expected tonight at Scotiabank Centre but there are great seats still remaining. Tickets are on sale now at TicketAtlantic.com.
