The Wildcats reeled off their 4th victory in the past 5 games, rolling past the Acadie-Bathurst Titan 7-3 before 3800 fans on 'Fan Appreciation Night' at Avenir Center on Friday night.
Third Star Alexis Daniel sparked the attack with a pair of goals and an assist - including a shorthanded breakaway marker early in the third period. First Star Frankie Iasenza and Second Star Preston Lounsbury each chipped in with a goal and two assists while other goals went to Alex Mercier - a highlight reel play as the Moncton forward scored with one arm while sliding into the goaltender on a partial breakaway. Max Barbashev and Thomas Darcy added the other goals.
Jacob Steinman got the win in goal with a solid 33 save outing. The Wildcats fired 34 drives at the Titan's Joshua Fleming. Moncton improves to 16-12-0-2 with one game remaining before the Christmas Break.
