Islanders Host Minor Hockey Jamboree

Charlottetown Islanders News Release


We are excited to host the fourth annual Islanders Minor Hockey Jamboree on January 14 & 15th at the Eastlink Centre Charlottetown. The Jamboree will see 35+ teams of players aged 4 to 8 from across Prince Edward Island take to the ice for games throughout the two days. The players will then be invited to the Sunday game when the Islanders will take on the Sherbrooke Phoenix.

General Information:

This event is "FREE" to participants. Parents are asked to purchase a minimum of 15 tickets to our game on January 15th, 2022, vs. Sherbrooke Phoenix at a group rate of $16 U60/60+ or $8 U25/U12

This is a fun, non-competitive jamboree for teams

Each team will have the opportunity to visit the Islanders dressing room and then be introduced onto the ice.

Domino's pizzas and ADL chocolate milk will be provided to each team

Each team will be introduced during the 1st intermission of the Islander's game against the Sherbrooke Phoenix on January 15th

Islanders Players will be participating throughout the day

Rules and Regulations:

All games will be played as per Hockey PEI rules.

Each team will play three 15-minute games.

The scoreboard will not be used, and goals will not be tallied.

Coaches (with helmets) will be required to go onto the ice to help with the players.

At the end of the game, players and coaches will line up at center ice, remove their gloves and shake hands with their opponents and coach.
