Chicago Wolves News Release

The Chicago Wolves have reassigned defenseman TIM FILANGIERI (fill-an-JEER-ee) to the ECHL's Gwinnett Gladiators.

The 22-year-old blueliner registered a +1 plus/minus rating and four penalty minutes in three games with the Wolves since being acquired from the Syracuse Crunch for future considerations on Oct. 8.

FILANGIERI made his professional debut in one game with Syracuse last season, following the conclusion of a four-year career with Boston College (Hockey East.) He also appeared in the Crunch's season opener against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Oct. 3, notching two penalty minutes.

The Islip Terrace, N.Y., native matched a career high with eight assists in 35 games during his senior season at Boston College in 2008-09. Overall, FILANGIERI recorded 20 points (3G, 17A) and 165 penalty minutes in 157 career outings with Boston College from 2005 to 2009.

The Wolves continue their season-high six-game road trip in Texas this weekend, when they face the Texas Stars at Cedar Park Center tonight at 7 p.m., and take on the Houston Aeros on Sunday at 3 p.m.
