FC Dallas Young Designated Player Alan Velasco Named to MLSsoccer.com's Week 3 Team of the Week

FRISCO, Texas - FC Dallas winger and Young Designated Player Alan Velasco was named to MLSsoccer.com's Team of the Week for Week 3 following a stunning debutant goal in the 2-0 win against Nashville SC on Saturday, March 12 at Toyota Stadium. Velasco earns his first Team of the Week honor.

Velasco, 19, subbed into the match in the 64th minute and scored his first goal in the 87th minute to cement Dallas' shutout win at home. Velasco received the ball near midfield from Brandon Servania and dribbled his way into the box defeating five Nashville defenders along the way before chipping Nashville's goalkeeper Joe Willis to make it 2-0. Velasco was the first FC Dallas player since June 8, 2019 to score in his MLS debut.
