San Jose Earthquakes News Release
The San Jose Earthquakes fell to the Philadelphia Union 2-0 last Saturday at Subaru Park in Chester, Penn. Rookie midfielders Ousseni Bouda, Will Richmond, and 16-year-old Niko Tsakiris made their MLS debuts in the match.
The Earthquakes are now preparing for their next road match against Minnesota United FC on Saturday, March 19. Kickoff from Allianz Field is set for 5 p.m. PT and the match will be broadcast on NBC Sports California, KNBR 1050, and 1370 KZSF.

Midfielder Jan Gregus will make his first trip to Allianz Field since signing with San Jose earlier this year after being selected in the Re-Entry Draft.

Earthquakes Announce Daniel Vega as Assistant Coach
The San Jose Earthquakes announced last Friday that the club has hired Daniel Vega as an assistant coach. Vega, who speaks both English and Spanish, joins head coach Matias Almeyda's staff for the 2022 MLS season following three years as a goalkeeper with the club (2019-21). The Cutral Có, Neuquén, Argentina native will join assistant coach Omar Zarif, goalkeeper coach Carlos Angel Roa, strength and conditioning coach Guido Bonini, kinesiologist Fabio Alvarez, and head of coaching communications Agustin Zalazar on Almeyda's staff.
Earthquakes Partner with Fraud Prevention Technology Leader Outseer
The Earthquakes last Tuesday announced a multi-year partnership with Outseer. Outseer, an RSA company, is a leading technology company in protecting against payment fraud. Outseer will integrate its FraudAction services across the Earthquakes organization. Powered by cutting-edge science and a suite of market leading anti-fraud products, Outseer reliably determines authentic customers from fraudulent behavior. EARTHQUAKES II UPDATE
Earthquakes Announce Quakes II Roster
The San Jose Earthquakes announced last Friday that the club has signed eight players to MLS NEXT Pro professional contracts with Earthquakes II. Five of the eight players competed collegiately in Northern California, including players who represented Cal, UC Davis, Santa Clara, and San Jose State. Earthquakes II will also feature amateur Quakes Academy players and young first team players.
