Notes:

Tonight's contest marked the second edition of the Pioneer Cup in memory of Lamar Hunt. The first Pioneer Cup was played at Pizza Hut Park in 2007 with the Crew coming out ahead 3-0.

Columbus

defender Shaun Francis left the game in the 15th minute with a left leg injury.

With the win, FC Dallas finishes the preseason 3-3 against MLS teams.

Officials switched to a bright orange ball in the 48th minute as snow blanketed the field and flurries continued to fall throughout the game.

FC Dallas opens the 2010 regular season at Pizza Hut Park, Saturday, March 27 vs the Houston Dynamo. Kick-off is scheduled for 3 p.m.

FC Dallas head coach Schellas Hyndman on the game:

"I think a lot of things have been said about how important the Pioneer Cup is to FC Dallas and Columbus and Lamar Hunt's legacy, so obviously it was important. It was also our last opportunity to do a friendly before the season starts next week, and I thought we played very well the first half when the ball was moving quickly in the field. I thought we scored two nice goals and created some other chances, and I was very pleased with that first half."

"The second half was very difficult. The snow just made it so difficult to move the ball, and players try to do the things they're used to doing without thinking that they've got to hit a ball harder, or whatever the case may be. But we got everybody on the field, and I was happy about that."
