In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month and to recognize Mexico's Independence Day on September 16, Saturday's match will reflect the vibrancy and diversity of Hispanic culture throughout the night. Las Estrellas de Tejas Ballet folklorico dance troupe will perform before the match while Mariachi Rosas Divinas will sing the national anthem and perform again at halftime. These artists express their love of the Hispanic culture through movement and music.
Guests entering Toyota Stadium will also receive a complimentary Hispanic Heritage t-shirt featuring the FC Dallas logo reinterpreted in a calavera skull design. The shirts are available while supplies last.
Pre-Match Tops
FC Dallas players will wear Hispanic Heritage Month pre-match tops prior to their matches against Seattle on September 16, Real Salt Lake on September 20, September 30 against Houston and October 4 against Colorado. Made in part with recycled materials and the Better Cotton Initiative, a program aimed at reducing the environmental impact of cotton production, the Hispanic Heritage pre-match tops feature a bold design featuring Spanish-styled manuscript. These tops are available for purchase on MLSstore.com.
Encouraging the Next Generation of Hispanic Leaders
FC Dallas will host six student-athletes from the FC Dallas Youth program as part of the Capitanes del Futuro program, which prepares the next generation of Hispanic leaders by combining their passion for soccer with education and career-building opportunities. They will meet Hispanic FC Dallas staff members to learn about career opportunities in soccer and tour Toyota Stadium to get a real-world understanding of match-day operations prior to a home match in October.
Continuing the Celebration on October 4
FC Dallas will continue to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at the October 4th home match against the Colorado Rapids with performers from the Peruvian Consulate of Dallas entertaining guests throughout the night.
