FC Dallas and Colorado Rapids Meet in Rematch of 2010 MLS Cup

FRISCO, Texas (April 7, 2011) - FC Dallas and the Colorado Rapids will meet at Pizza Hut Park Friday, April 8 at 8 p.m. for the first time since Colorado defeated the Dallas side in extra time for the 2010 MLS Cup. The game will air live on FOX Soccer.

The March to the Match tailgate at Londoner Frisco begins at 6 p.m. with free 22-ounce FC Dallas beer mugs for the first 1,500 people in attendance. Pizza Hut Park gates open at 6:30 p.m. with $2 beers, $4 wine and margaritas through halftime at the Beer Garden, as well as $2 sodas throughout the stadium.

Colorado enters Friday's match unbeaten in MLS play at 3-0-0, while the Dallas side is looking for its first win after playing two of its first three games down a man with early red cards against Chicago and Columbus.

As the reigning Western Conference Champions, FC Dallas earned its first trip to the MLS Cup in 2010 following a record-setting year that saw the club set MLS marks for its 19-game unbeaten streak and its 12-game road unbeaten streak. The Dallas side also tied the MLS mark for fewest losses in an MLS season with four, while the Dallas defense allowed the fewest goals against in club history with only 28 through 30 games.
